I Was unfortunate to be told i had Rectal cancer in may after a colonoscopy and tests also at scarborough hospital and needed a largish operation which was swayed for me as it was to be done by the surgeon i met and at scarborough hospital & maple ward , To remove it as options which i had trust and faith in .

After a 9hr op end up in the hob on maple ward which for me is outstanding as all staff on this whole ward are , I spent 9 days here and am now back home with many thanks to all as a result of the care i had from them all in this department and ward all the care i received was First class with so much care and Positivity to get me over the surgery and back on my feet which they did ,Also with having a stoma i would like to also say the food and diet i was given was excellent it made a massive difference to my recovery and was very tasty good to eat comliments to the chef all the staff know full well who they are as i know all there names including my surgeon i am indebted to you all and this Hospital for saving my life twice now in 4 years
