On the 30th April just gone, after seven months of tests including an Ultrasound, a CT Scan and an MRI scan
I was (Grudgingly) promised an exploratory Laparoscopy for a Hernia which the Consultant said I didn't have ! (Yes, I was rather puzzled by that scenario at the time) Due to the incredible amount of pain I have been (and still am) in, though, I agreed to what I thought was a firm arrangement. When, today, 23rd July I attended a clinic appointment for what I thought was going to be preparation for the operation, I am now informed that as they don't think that I have an hernia then i cannot have an operation. In other words, I have waited twelve weeks in anticipation of finally getting something done, only to be moved back to square one.We are now reverting to yet another MRI scan as the next stage of being given the runaround. It is obviously inappropriate for me, as a layman, to "second guess" my own medical condition and I realise tha some conditions are difficult to diagnose. But I cannot for the life of me understand why a consultant promises one thing only for another to cancel it three months later. Still, I presume that the exorbitant car park charges must be collected somehow.
"Unbelievable waste of time."
