Fracture clinic review - doctor barely glanced at my wrist with no examination and said i was discharged (took around 30 seconds). I wanted to ask some questions as I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia but was told to ask my GP instead (I have and was told to use the internet) . I insisted on asking some questions and he then questioned me as to whether I was a sensible person or did I run around doing things that make it likely I will fall over. As long as I was a sensible person I would be alright!
At the age of 48 with osteopenia (almost osteoporosis in my spine) I am of course worried and wanted an informed discussion about my options to prevent this deteriorating. Clearly the doctor concerned was not interested and could not get me out of the door quickly enough.
