"Improved Food and good activities on Cherry!"

About: Highbury Hospital / Cherry Ward

(as the patient),

The meals have improved, the rotas have changed and we have been given more choice. Marie has done very well.

There's a pretty good list of activities we can do, the exercise to music is really good. It brings a bit more happiness to me. We join in more together. The music is my era so we enjoy it.

Good Morning Happycherry,

We are pleased to hear that you like the new system, as a team we recognised the need to make changes to ensure you all have the opportunity to be able to choose what you would like to eat at each meal time.

The system is new and we are making changes as we go along so please bear with us.

We are happy that you are enjoying the daily list of activities, Diane and Zoe meet with you all fortnightly and adapt these depending on ability and preference, we all enjoy the music too

Kind Regards

Julie and the cherry team

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Hello, my name is Jane Danforth. My role involves helping our service users, volunteers and staff to understand that Notts Healthcare wants to hear stories about our services. We reply to every story and it really helps us to improve what we do, how we do it and to hear about what works well too.

This is great work and thank you to Marie too who worked out all the rotas and from what I've heard that's no mean feat!

Patients were really complimentary last time I visited with Gordon our involvement volunteer. They also felt able to say openly, what needed to be done and it was great to hear one of the patients tell me straight away that things had improved (including the custard!).

Thank you everyone for listening and helping patients on Cherry Ward to make our patients days brighter and better.

Jane
