On Saturday last my wife was starting to have rash and headache symptoms. Having experienced shingles myself and knowing that it was important to get the appropriate medicine quickly if that was what she had, I took her to A&E on Saturday afternoon. The department was very busy but everything was operating efficiently and she was seen by a triage nurse within about 20 minutes. A doctor saw her about an hour later. She had an excellent manner, apologising for the wait and explaining that they were very busy. My wife was given a very thorough examination and it was confirmed that she did indeed have shingles. Because she had a pre-existing condition and was on other medicines, the doctor was careful to seek further advice and able to give us good advice as well as prescribe the necessary medicine. All in all, we very impressed by the professionalism and caring attitude of the doctor and the rest of the team.
"All in all, we were very impressed"
