Admitted for assessment and monitoring following suspected bowel obstruction nursing care partly ok with the final ward I was put into 32a being filthy and the nursing staff did not have a clear understanding of my care plan and did not communicate it at any point to me staff did not listen to me and spoke over me and were dismissive of me and my concerns. In particular a FY1 male doctor wearing i psychiatry badge on a general surgery ward openly admitting he diddnt have the experience to deal with my problem. On asking if he’d read my care plan he avoided the question and said I’d have to wait for the surgeon this was disconcerting and added to my anxieties as was told on first meeting the surgeon that I would be having surgery. I was refused a CT Scan because I did not want surgery at which point the surgeon left after telling me he would review it again the following day but I never saw him again I was given conflicting advice about my dietary status as was in 12 hours put on 3 different wards it was apparent to me that nursing staff had not read my notes or not had sufficient handover I was scared and self discharged after speaking with the FY1
