After some illnesses, I had lost ability/ confidence to attempt exercises. This was due to pain while attempting to continue with old sports/ hobbies. I had attempted, for example, golf swings at driving ranges. Pain and lack of ability to maintain swinging action meant that I gave up. I discussed my restrictions to my Consultant and she suggested Hydrotherapy sessions. I found it encouraging to meet fellow sufferers. I subsequently started golf driving sessions having found major improvement in my movements. A friend encouraged me to stand on a first tee and drive. After much trepidation (I considered pulling out in the morning) I experienced an elation that I never expected to have again. I played only a few holes more but I have found an old confidence. I feel free to increase my exercises.
I am thankful for the existence of the Hydrotherapy and advice and encouragement from the staff.
