"Pleasant service"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was admitted to A&E by ambulance after calling 111 with chest pains and Shortness of breath. I was seen within minutes by a nurse who carried out an ECG which thankfully was all okay.I was then moved to MEDOCC where I was told there would be a 2 hour wait. Had to wait probably 2.5 hours and had a thorough check by 2 doctors and put my mind at rest that I had been having anxiety attacks rather than a serious heart condition. Everyone from the Paramedics, nurses, reception staff and doctors were caring and helpful and put my mind at ease.Felt quite sorry for the reception staff in MEDOCC who had to take a lot of flak from patients for waiting times etc.

Thank you very much for your lovely comments. We will share them with the ED team who helped care for you. We are glad that you were able to be reassured that your symptoms were not related to a more serious health condition and wish you well.

kindest regards,

The Patient Experience Team
