I've now visited the Neurology department twice, the last appointment being a few months ago, the first being after a 9/10 month wait. I'm not sure if there is a problem with organisation, management, low moral or what. I've been waiting almost a year for an EEG. Both myself and my GP have chased Neurology up numerous times, and the last specialist I saw said they didn't know why I haven't had an EEG yet and they'd get straight on it and get one arranged. In the mean time I am having seizure after seizure and now have permanent loss of sensation down my left side and find walking almost impossible, I have muscle cramps where I've tensed and chipped teeth, and no medication. When I've spoken to Neurology I have been told it will be sorted, but it hasn't. I've made formal complaints which have come to nothing. I find this absolutely baffling and appalling. My life has been permanently affected by the lack of interest in diagnosing and treating me, and I cannot be the only one. I'm the first person to praise the NHS and all it does in the most trying of circumstances but this, this is not on. If you get the option to be treated elsewhere then go and do it, please give them a wide berth. I know I'm not going to get better so please use me as a lesson and don't come here.
