My wife recently delivered our baby girl through a C section and I cannot praise this service enough and all the staff involved, from doctors,to midwives to support workers to ward cleaners. Everybody was brilliant, doing their absolute best with whatever resources available. The CQC placed this hospital in “Special Measures” and I m not sure why and it baffles me why few bureaucrats come in to inspect, tick some boxes and make such decisions without looking at the humans behind this excellent service. We as general public Are also quick at complaining whenever things go wrong slightly but we should appreciate that it’s a huge organisation run by professionals and caring people and things can go wrong. To all the staff at the delivery ward, fifth floor, the doctors, the anaesthetists, the midwives and also all the staff at Nettleham ward, the very experienced lovely midwives, the smiley receptionists and all the community midwives who visited us at our house: You are doing an amazing job, thank you and know that you are highly appreciated and don’t listen to what the CQC says about your service , you know how to do your job well and you are excellent and they have no clue what they are doing.
"Excellent"
