I had an MRI scan a few months ago to monitor a rare combination of conditions. The first part of the scan on the smaller machine in the department was a nightmare, not only was it one of the hottest days of the year i was covered in a blanket which made me warmer. Worse than that when it was completed i was moved off the table to set up for the second part and the pain in my back began to get worse. I was told i had to continue. The radiographer was a little short, dismissive and abrupt saying there was no reason for the pain. I asked them to call my consultant or a doctor down to check me over because i felt a crack in my back. The radiographer seemed really unwilling to do that. The second half had to be stopped because of the pain. The radiographer was a nightmare because i asked to stop. The nurse was absolutely superb, seemed genuinely concerned about me, helped me back to the changing area, told me to take my time and if i needed help to shout. The nurse took time to go and tell my husband in the waiting room that i was in pain and if i had an major problems to maybe pop into a and e
