My story is a positive one. I was referred by my General Practitioner to orthopaedic at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for replacement knee surgery I was seen within the alloted time where it was decided to go ahead with operation. I was given a date and a pre-operation assessment was arranged. The assessment was thorough and flagged up a few problems I had and had to undergo a few tests. I had to have a scan and a colonoscopy and luckily for me it was decided it was okay for me to have the surgery. I cannot fault the whole system the assessment team were brilliant and the team at the endoscopy suite at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline were excellent. The consultants Secretary has also been brilliant and kept in touch with me and managed to rearrange operation not once but twice. My operation takes place in about 10 days time and I have every Faith in the consultant and her team.
