What I liked
My Mum has been a regular patient of ward P2 for the last three years. She had liver disease and unfortunately passed away on P2 on Sunday morning 27th May 2012. The treatment and care that she received was wonderful and we could not have asked for anything more. The Consultant and his team were outstanding as were the nursing staff. Professionality was upheld at all times and my mother was treated as a person and not sidelined, unlike another hospital she was also in at times. We were also kept fully informed at all stages as to her health plan. They did everything they could for her and for that I will be forever grateful.
Although I live in Nottinghamshire your hospital would be the one I would choose to go to, should I ever be in need as it far outshines what I have experienced elsewhere. All hospital care should be like yours and you should be proud of your staff on P2 and what they do for their patients. Would you please pass on my comments to them.
Finally, I would also like to give a mention to your restaurant, where I have spent many a lunchtime. It is very good and the food very well priced. Also your porters by the front door who were always happy to help and the same for the car park attendants (although in this department I feel your prices are too high at £8 per day which is what I was having to pay at times and this soon adds up over a number of days plus the fuel from Retford and back).
Thank you for everything
Kind Regards
Suzanne Tomlinson.
What could be improved
Car Parking fees are far too high and for those staying more than three days there should be some way of getting a reduced fee and not have to wait for three weeks as I was told before you can apply. Many people are on low incomes and simply could not afford this amount of money.
Anything else?
No
