"Closing times on website misleading"

About: Chard Hospital

The closing times published on the website are very misleading. It states closing at 21.00 we arrived at 20.37 only to find the doors closed with a note on stating last patient will be seen at 20.30. So this is in affect the closing time.

We then had to travel to Taunton to visit their A&E department, where we waited 7hrs to be seen.

Hello - thank you for taking the time to tell us about the incorrect information. You're right, I have had a look on the NHS.uk website and it is incorrect. I have contacted the website and asked them to update their details so that this information is made clear.

If you need to check details again, I would suggest looking at www.sompar.nhs.uk which has all the up-to-date details for our Minor Injury Units. I am really sorry that in this case, it meant an extra journey and a long waiting time for you.
