"Radiotherapy Department"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I attended for 20 sessions of radiotherapy treatment for my Prostate Cancer, plus the Planning Session. I was impressed as soon as I had entered the Department by the cleanliness and tidiness. All the Team Members looking very smart and cheerful

Every morning I was greeted by the Receptionist. At my appointment time I was called by name and taken through to the treatment area where security details were confirmed and once lying on the bed positioned precisely as per the planning session. All the Team were polite and professional and said they were leaving the area and would be watching me during the treatment. Once the treatment had completed they returned and assisted me off the bed. Once dressed goodbyes were said and I was shown back to the waiting area. I can certainly see why this Department has won an award!
