I haven't called in to book an appointment in many years and frankly, I was dreading it. I was used to weeks upon weeks for waiting times and quick and snappy phone calls. However, on this occasion, I was shocked. I spoke to a receptionist who booked me an appointment face-to-face which was further then I wanted. However, she also offered me a telephone consultation which is a service I did not know about. She went the extra mile and booked that. I was pleased to say that based on my condition, a face-to-face was not really needed as I just needed referring to the hospital. This meant I could speak to a doctor sooner and not have to take time out of my day to sit around for a 2min referral. Super pleased with the fact the receptionist looked at alternatives for me! I really do help the service continues to improve and this receptionist can be at the forefront!
