"They are true stars"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

Just wanted to pass on thanks to all the wonderful staff that assisted in my care over my stay in the Maternity Triage and Induction Ward at ARI. I was admitted with severe dehydration and possible kidney infection. The response, care and attention was simply the best for both me and bump. Having never been in hospital overnight or required any major on going treatment it was a very anxious time for me and their professionalism made me feel like I was in capable hands which was very reassuring.

I particularly want to shout out to Midwives Kay and Anne and Healthcare Support Worker Rhonda whose manner, approach and always doing a little bit extra which alone helped to make me feel so much better. They are true stars genuinely so kind, friendly, approachable and caring. NHS Grampian should commend them for their hardworking and dedication.

Thanks to everyone there, I certainly value mine and bump's health even more now!!

Dear IR23,

Thank you very much for your lovely comments, regarding Kay and Rhonda, I will certainly pass them on, it is very reassuring to me as the manager to know that the care our staff is providing is hitting the mark.

It can be a really anxious time when you are admitted to hospital, especially when it is your first time but having attentive staff that are caring and professional makes all the difference.

I hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful.

Kind Regards

Liz

And don't forget to thank Anne too! Honestly just lovely and attentive staff who always had a smile, joke or reassuring word to say. Such a high standard of care so grateful to them and everyone else who saw me during my stay!

Fingers crossed no more dramas!

Also after re-reading my initial post, lesson: don't write when falling asleep in your comfy bed post discharge-so many mistakes!:D

No worries, I also skimmed over Anne's name but have rectified that today and passed on your thanks to her.

Take care

Liz
