I'm not one to write reviews, however, the self-referral physio service has really impressed me. From suffering an initial injury to my wrist in January I had an MRI scan and was given the all clear. I then suffered an injury to the same wrist a few months later and was frustrated at how easily my wrist was giving way on me. A family member told me about the self referral service at North Manchester Hospital so I phoned up and got an appointment for the following week which I was very surprised and impressed at. The physio who dealt with me was brilliant. After assessing my wrist in great detail he gave me some exercises to do at home. He booked me for a follow up appointment for 3 weeks later. The exercises has greatly helped and my wrist had strengthened 12.5kg in just 3 weeks. He then gave me another more resistant band to carry on doing physio exercises with and discharged me. He stated if I needed any more assistance then to just phone up again. Ben's an absolute credit to the NHS and this is why I've written this review to highlight how impressed I was with the whole service.
