"Extremely high standard of care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

From the moment that I arrived at the unit yesterday, until discharge I experienced an extremely high standard of care from this excellent surgical team. My booking nurse Audrie took me through the process reassuring my anxieties with empathy and understanding. From meeting again with my surgeon Mr McLeod and his team to waking up in recovery I find myself very grateful to have access to the Scottish NHS. During my stay in the recovery unit, I once again was given care in a professional and dignified way. I apologise that I cannot remember the individual names of these nurses, but those on duty, I sincerely thank-especially when it was evident that I shouldn’t have had the coffee and toast! In this culture where we are quick to complain about the smallest grievance I hope my carers read this feedback and take a moment to recognise “we got it right”.

Thank you so much for taking tome to share this lovely accolade to the team. I am not going to ask you about the coffee and toast - I can imagine that there are only two ways that can go!
