"Physiotherapy fantastic and reassuring"

I visited Clatterbridge Hospital Physiotherapy Department yesterday morning. I was called in by a knowledgeable young man who was thorough, professional, friendly and so reassuring. He assessed my hip by working through loads of movements and lots of questions, he could not have been more thorough. He understood exactly what the problem was and gave me plenty of advice on what I can do to help myself. He reassured me that I wasn't going to damage myself by taking up pilates or continuing to cycle, and that the pain and weakness will go. I have an exercise programme to go through which I have already begun to do and I am now hopeful that my hip will improve and I can get back to normal. I loved the way that I was listened to and empowered over my own condition with choices of what I wanted to do next. I was made to feel very comfortable and respected by his friendliness and professionalism. He was calm, intelligent, thoughtful in his responses and I could not have received better treatment if I had paid for a private consultant. The physiotherapy department is very close to the car park so I could park easily. The £3.20 car park fee was typical for many hospitals and the waiting room was pleasant with water, magazines and comfortable seating (with a painful hip this was most appreciated). I have no qualms in recommending the hospital, the physiotherapy department and especially the consultant I was fortunate enough to be seen by.
