Today I attended one of my sessions Effective communication through Assertiveness at The Recovery College in Vestry Hall Mitcham. I feel so lucky to be able to use this service it has been so helpful for me. I am going through a very difficult redundancy and the skills I am learning I have been able to apply when making my appeal. I have found the appeal very emotional however with my newly acquired skills I carefully planned my appeal meeting and communicated effectively in both written and oral communication to my employer. In my course I am learning many new skills one I have really enjoyed is role play with can be used to plan for uncertainty in situations that may arise in our lives. I am forever grateful to The Recovery college for allowing me to express, learn and get to know myself better in a happy and confidential environment. And of course meeting wonderful people on my journey in the classroom. I would like to say a massive thank you to Bob and Stella for making each session so engaging and inspiring. I am rebuilding my confidence each week and feeling more in control when dealing with life in general. I have and continue to flourish with the help of The Recovery College.
