Outstanding, Outstanding. I am an advanced nurse practitioner with many years experience. My husband was brought into hospital via emergency ambulance on Saturday with suspected sepsis and DKA, he is not diabetic but unfortunately is on active chemotherapy for cancer metastasis in his lung. The standard of nursing care and doctor care in A/E and MAU was nothing short of exceptional. The treated him with dignity, they were so caring and kept us informed all the time. Nothing was too much trouble, even getting a bed into Resus so he could move from the trolley to be more comfortable. Unfortunately he was moved to ICU early this morning, where I am sure he is receiving the same level of outstanding care . We live in a world where people are quick to criticise the NHS. Fairfield hospital should be extremely proud of the exceptional nurses and doctors in A/E and the MAU. You went above and beyond to treat with kindness, dignity and respect a very scared patient and his family. Thank you
