My mum was admitted to ward 23, balmoral building LRI, on the 4th July 2019. She’s sadly in latter end of dementia care and is not able to wash or speak for herself. I visit everyday to help clean her and take her to use the toilet. On a number of occasions when I have taken her to the facilities to clean her and use the toilet the taps at the sink are broken. When I asked a member of staff on the ward they replied that this “sometimes happens” and fetched me some water in a cardboard sick bowl so I could clean my mum! Also, on the the bay my mum is staying on, the sink is filthy with brown water as it seems the sink keeps backing up and the smell is dreadful.
"Cleanliness of the ward my mum is admitted to."
