"Colposcopy"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

After 2 abnormal smears I was invited to attend for a colposcopy.  I felt very apprehensive as I had always had normal smear results.  At my first appointment the Dr was very reassuring, explaining the full procedure and giving me time to ask questions.  I have recently attended my second colposcopy appointment and again the patient centred care was excellent.  I have no complaints and all I can say is keep up the good work.

Dear Scottish1972

Many thanks for your very kind post on care opinion. I am so pleased to see that the doctor was very reassuring and provided a good explanation.

Person centred care is what we aim to deliver every day and it is very assuring that on both your attendances this is what you have found.

As the senior nurse for the unit I will assure that your feedback is shared with the team.

I hope you are keeping well

kind regards

Morag
