I visited the GUM clinic as a walk-in on June 2019 with moderate-severe pelvic pains. When I got there, the receptionist told me that they were already completely booked up and had taken all the walk-ins they could allow, but offered to let me talk to the triage nurse anyway. Once I explained to the nurse the pains that I was in, they made an exception to see me as the very last patient of the day--despite being extremely busy! All members of staff were so lovely and helpful the entire time, apologizing for the wait despite the fact they'd gone well out of their way to help me. All in all I waited around 3 hours, but it was worth it and I felt cared for and treated with dignity the entire time. Both doctor and nurse were very professional and reassuring, which was lovely considering I'm a very anxious person and this was my first ever visit. Couldn't fault them. The only thing I would change is that I wish I had more time to ask questions about my results and options moving forwards, but considering the doctor had already stayed in overtime for me I'm more than satisfied with my care.
"Incredibly helpful, friendly, and reassuring..."
