"Brilliant staff!"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

I had to bring my daughter to A&E after being recommended to do so by 111 advisors. Upon arrival the receptionist was very friendly and even involved my daughter. The children's waiting room was extremely busy and very hot! The nurse was coming out every so often to apologies constantly to all the people waiting about the heat but unfortunately they had no control of the air con. Everyone was seen by the triage nurse very quickly! The nurse was an absolute delight! She was patient and friendly towards my 3 year old and kept her at ease. She then took her through to give her some stickers, to which my daughter absolutely loved! We then had a short wait till we were brought back through for my daughter to have a blood test. Again they both were really friendly and polite and kept engaging my daughter. The doctor kept coming out to us to update us on the blood tests and was really apologetic about the length of time it was taking. They blew up gloves as balloons for my daughter and offered her biscuits. Overall we were there for around 5 hours, but given the circumstances it was an overall pleasant experience with how we were treated. I can't fault the staff there and congratulate them on the fantastic service they provide 24/7! Thank you!

Thank you Grace for your kind words and we hope your daughter is feeling better.

We will ensure that your thanks are passed onto the A&E department.
