My mother in law who is 87 was admitted to A/E with a suspected stroke. The nursing staff and doctors who looked after her were extremely professional. Every step of the way my husband was informed as to what was going on e.g. ct scan etc. Within 20 minutes of arrival my mother in law was transferred to A3 Ward by a porter who was a supervisor and who was extremely good with my mother in law. On arrival to Ward A3 we were met by a chargenurse. We couldn't get over the fact that the senior nurse from A/E came up to the ward A3 with my mother in law's notes and the doctor to reassure my husband and to ask us if we had anymore questions. The doctor and nurse from A/E we felt went above and beyond their duties to make sure my mother in law had everything she needed.
The charge nurse made sure my mother in law was kept comfortable. He explained everything to my husband. We cannot fault the care my mother-in-law received at all. My mother in law in fact did have a small stroke. She was kept in for 24 hours again my husband was informed regarding her discharge as she was stable. We just want to thank all the staff who looked after our mum as we think they deserve some recognition for all there hard work and commitment. We cannot thank them all enough.
