"MIU visit this week with sprained ankle"

About: Cirencester Hospital

I went to MIU this week with a sprained ankle. I wasn't sure if I had broken anything so wanted to be sure. I have to commend all the staff that saw me. They were welcoming friendly and very attentive from my initial contact with reception through triage and the nurses who attended me. The nurse who examined me was very knowledgable and was able to tell me after an examination that I has a sprain including the exact ligament I had damaged. She took time to advise on after care advise and gave me a printed leaflet so I didn't forget everything when I got home. As a result I am making a good recovery. I would like to thank all the staff for their care and feel very lucky to have such wonderful people caring for the cirencester community.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this lovely feedback and we are very pleased that you are happy with the care and treatment you received recently at Cirencester Hospital Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU); we hope your recovery is still progressing well.

Your comments will be forwarded to the MIIU Manager and MIIU Matrons who will share it with their team. Best wishes, Service Experience Team, Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust.
