I was admitted via A&E to Ward 4A in Crosshouse Hospital for a few days last week. I was referred by the nurse at my local GP Surgery. After having a previous nightmare experience in hospital many years ago, I was very anxious. On arrival, the ward quickly got me settled into the assessment room were very attentive and put me at ease. Everyone in the ward: domestics, doctors, nurses, auxilliaries etc were amazing. I was treated with respect and kindness and was kept informed at every stage of my treatment. Nothing was too much trouble, despite everyone being very busy. When I was being discharged, everyone wished me well and the Charge Nurse even ensured I had enough dressings until the Community Nurse came to see me. This was arranged by the ward for the following day. Thank you so much.
