"A visit to the minor injuries after a knee injury."

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

Was seen by a nurse and had blood taken then sent for an x-ray within an hour and a half. Then it went downhill rapid as I watched others given what it seemed preferential treatment to genuine patients. This isn’t right in my eyes as people had waited longer to be treated. I pay a fair amount   from my wages in national insurance and this is the bad service I get. I ended up walking out after 6 hours of my soul being destroyed. Will hopefully never be back near that place.

Dear Corakim

I am very sorry to hear of your experiences when you attended the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The staff do try to see patients as quickly as possible and they do triage patients so they can be seen appropriately. I am sorry that you felt unable to stay. l would be happy to look into this for you to try to find out what happened.

If you would like us to do this further please contact the Patient Experience Team:

Email: feedback@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk

Telephone: 0131 536 3370

I have shared your feedback with the clinical team who I am sure will be disappointed to read of your experiences.

I do hope that you are now feeling better.

Kind regards

Jeannette
