What I liked
Understanding, honesty and contactability of the consultant.
What could be improved
On the ward staff took too long to change intraveanous medications, saline drips etc, sometimes two hours, ignoring and/ or resenting reminders from family. Some nursing staff unhelpful, no sharing of information on progress with next of kin from most staff. Little access to doctor. Little privacy, bed curtains opened& lights on made it difficult to catch up on lost sleep. Patients wearing open gowns have to walk around with physiotherapist in public at visiting times. Little notice given for discharge and no guidance on after care, dietery advice, excercise etc. no telephone number given for help with such questions.
Anything else?
Poor signage to tower block from back of hospital.
"without our exceptional consultant the family..."
