"What an outstanding first impression"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended the A&E department at George Eliot hospital yesterday evening with my son. It was the first time we'd been to this department and what an outstanding first impression.

My son has autism and severe anxiety and was very nervous and scared. Checking in was quick and friendly and I explained my sons needs and this lady noted it on his form. Before we could blink a nurse called Alice spoke to us and said we would be called through shortly.

True to her word we'd just sat down and she called us through to a private room. Wow! What a lovely, caring girl she was..she was absolutely amazing with my son and we feel she needs to be credited for it. It takes something special to adapt to a situation like this and she excelled in every single way. Alice is an amazing credit to your team as were all the staff we came in contact with. We were in and out in 45 minutes.

Thank you for your comments regarding A&E, and we are very happy that your experience was one we would wish for our patents. Your comments will be been shared with the A&E team who also will be delighted to receive such a positive review.

Kind regards,
