"My Neurosurgeon didn't communicate with me"

About: National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square / Neurosurgery

I was admitted on the 26th May 2019 for an Emergenvy Micro-Discectomy .When I arrived in Hosptial For my Scan Results ,I was in severe pains. I was showed my Scan pictures and they said that I had to be operated the next day .I was very worried and scared as this was my first ever major surgery,.I would like to list the issues and problems I experienced at this Hosptial in points format as it will be easier for me .In this hospital I felt alone and no good communication from any of the Doctors during my 13 days admitted in hospital .I was taken in as an emergency patient ,No nurse showed me around the wards or offered me hospital clothing ,I had no bag as it was not a planned surgery.I later asked and it was given .The first night the nurse kept asking me if I was having surgery ,He seemed unsure and this was worrying me.He later came and said milk by mouth then I was sure that I was going for surgery ,I didn't sleep and my heart was racing all night. My surgery was done very early in the morning the anasethist came and were very nice explained everything and I explained how nervous I was ,they reassured me.The lady Doctors came alone she looked like she was in a hurry as she was carrying her handbags she got me to sign concent forms without explaining much to me ,I was still very scared and nervous and didn't ask her questions .I went to theatre very early morning and was in recovery around 1-2pm with nebuliser and a guy doing my chest X-Ray..The nurse asked if I had a chest infection I said no.That was never updated or followed up with me .I went to the wards for my recovering and was there for 13 days .Not one single day Doctors cane to my bedside to tell me how my surgery went .No Doctors explained to me why I had an west at recovery ??I constantly asked the nurses that I would have a follow up with my surgeon but this did not happen .I asked on so many different days that I needed to see the consultant that did my surgery as am aware that I had some complications ,This never happened .There was a lady doctor that was going on ward rounds but she was so distance from patients and never took time to see me but always spoke to me at a distance as I was having severe muscle spasm she gave me treatment for a day and they spasm came back even more aggressive after stopping .She never introduced herself and seemed very posh .My experience at this hospital was very difficult for me emotionally and I cried a lot on most days ,I felt Discriminated due a health conditions ,Why was all other patients being looked after better than me ??I cried most night. With severe muscle spasm pains but was just ignored ??When I saw the register at the wards and told him about my spasms he made a joke about me asking for Diazepam ..It's like I needed them to get high.I started my periods as an inpatient and was told they don't offer pads.No leaflets information on my aftercare my surgery at home.No transport and i nearly fell near the hospital entrance no one cared
