"Dad’s recent hospital stay"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Geriatric Assessment

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to A& E after a fall at home. I just wanted to say thank you very much to the team at A& E who looked after him. The two doctors Martina and Graham who brought good humour to a stressful situation and the staff nurses Charlotte and Emma. Thanks for the cups and tea and support and taking time out of your busy shift to check we were ok. Also a big thanks to Dr Hoyle and the team at ward 102 who helped ensure that Dad made a speedy recovery. We’re so lucky to have our NHS and the great people that work in it!

Dear BCH89

Many thanks for sharing your recent experience when your Dad was admitted to A&E. I am delighted to hear that the staff cared for him well and helped reduce the stress of him falling and being admitted to hospital.

I am also pleased to read that Dr Hoyle and his team in ward 102 supported your Dad to allow him a speedy recovery and will share your thanks with both teams involved in his care.

I hope you Dad is continuing to recover and has had no further falls.

With best wishes to you and your Dad

Kind regards

Fiona
