"My experience"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Maternity

(as the patient),

I’ve had my first baby and had been through a very difficult labour with my placenta getting stuck.

I arrived on m4 and I realised my leg has gone numb and there’s no movement or sensation,   I told the midwifes when I seen them coz it’s like ur on a ward all alone and no midwife to b seen

I felt that the care I received on the ward was absolutely atrocious. It felt like I never saw the staff and those I did see never introduced them self. It felt like ur in a room all abandoned. U call for help the buzzer continues to ring 20 mins stil no one turns up and when they do turn up u tell them to make ur bed. After 2 hours they arrive or til u don’t ask the 3rd time, u never get medication on time.

I felt that the midwifes I encountered do not know what they doing and that they didn’t know nothing about you or what medication you take, and some wil give u medication at times u wil get them and then u won’t.  It’s been so bad.

I found the staff horrible and the hca gave me mouths and want please said to them always when asked for some sheets, the very first day I asked for bed to b changed no one turned up til I changed the sheets myself I wil never recommend this ward hospital to anyone I’ve had the worse experience ever I’ve sat in my room and cried my eyes out there’s far too much to say and mention on here!
