"Appointment with the doctors"

About: The Shirley Health Partnership

After phoning at 8.30 for an appointment with the doctors. A wait if 20minutes for the phone to be answered. I was told that there were no more appointments for the day. Unless i wanted to phone back later in the day. Iwas asked what was wrong i told the receptionist what was the problem. I was told to go to the pharmacy. As this was cheaper than a prescription. I moved to this surgery when regents park surgery merged with Shirley health practice. As this would be better ! More doctors, more parking. I have seen my doctor twice since the merger. Yes there are more doctors. But they dont know you personally like your own doctors. As for parking that's a joke. Ihave had to park in the neighbouring roads. As Shirley pool seem to use the car park as well.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience. Our telephone customer service continues to improve and we acknowledge that there can be delays answering the phones at peak times. We also offer other platforms to contact the partnership such as e-consult which you could consider in the future.

We offer a range of options for the most appropriate source of care using care navigation for our patients. Care navigation is the way for our reception team to ensure that patients are being signposted to the most appropriate source of care thus ensuring that patients are being directed to the right health care provider, which ensures that those patients who are most in need of a GP can secure an appointment more quickly. Car parking, especially in our location in Shirley is challenging and we are fortunate to be able to offer a number of free car parking spaces. We would encourage all our patients who are able, to walk, cycle or use public transport when coming to see us. Thank you for sharing your experience and please continue to tell us about using our services.
