"Feeling abandoned"

About: Arndale Resource Centre Gartnavel Royal Hospital / Mental Health

(as a carer),

My husband suddenly became acutely anxious in December having had no history of this issue for 20 years. The drug he was prescribed seemed to escalate his condition or the illness escalated and he was hospitalised for a month. Apart from 1 week of support thereafter from named nurses, he has had no psycho-social support and multiple changes in drugs. I have taken 2 months off work to care for him. He is now at risk of losing his job. I made my 3rd complaint about his situation on Monday in writing. His psychiatrist seems perplexed by his presentation. We have accessed 8 weeks of private therapy as referral to psychologist in January has not been taken up. I have repeatedly asked for OT, groups or third sector referral with no uptake. I have asked for personal support. I have three children under 16 and no extended family support. I feel utterly abandoned.
