Last year my family changed GP practice in Irvine and moved our care to Bourtreehill Medical Practice, what a brilliant move this was.

In the last few months I have had to access services with regards my young daughter. The ability to speak to a GP via a triage call is so good, as often it means we do not need to attend the surgery unnecessarily. So far we have spoke or met Dr Livingstone, Dr Alexander and Dr Yeoman, each has listened and discussed my daughters symptoms and then when appropriate organised for us to be seen that day or issued a prescription to pick up. Any test results are followed up with a phone all if treatment needs changed as a result of the test results. 

I want to thank them all for their excellent work and I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Star82,

Wow, don't tell everyone how good this practice is in case we all move to them, then you will never get an appointment. (I am joking -honestly).

What a pleasure it is to hear such a lovely positive story when Primary Care is under so much pressure.

I will make sure this is passed to the Practice Manager and all the GPs. I am sure everyone will be delighted that you took the time to give such lovely feedback, particularly Dr Livingstone, Dr Alexander and Dr Yeoman.
