"Maternity Excellent support for VBAC"

Thank you so much to North mid hospital for your care during pregnancy, birth and post natal recovery. This was my 3rd pregnancy, my first born was by emergency c section at another hospital. My 2nd baby had a genetic disorder so is not with us. My first experience of North mid and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their maternity services. During pregnancy the consultants were thorough in monitoring this baby's health and had patience to answer all my questions. Later in pregnancy I received unfaulting support by the Ruby team of midwifes to plan my VBAC hypnobirth on the Birth Centre. Everything was seemlessly in place when I arrived in labour. I then felt empowered to make my own choices during labour, including to transfer to the Labour ward because I wanted an epidural. I managed my VBAC under fantastic midwifery care in theatre where my birth preferences were still respected. My post natal stay in hospital was again unfaltering. Kindness patience and thorough medical care was given to me and baby by midwifes, doctors, support staff and volunteers. It is worth noting that excellent breastfeeding support and advice was provided. Baby and I are home safe, happy and grateful.
