This was my first admission to hospital for asthma. I was very wary. I'm a 72 year old retired nurse and you will be aware of the stories that are discussed about hospital care these days.
It was a tremendous relief to me to be treated from the first moment with care and consideration. I was constantly reassured but encouraged to do as much for myself as possible.I found all of the staff kind and considerate. However the nursing staff were really efficient and well managed with managers helping with hands on care when they could, this was a surprise. The ward was always. kept clean and tidy during my 13 day stay during May 2019Many thanks to everyone in ward 17.
