What I liked

It is with great pleasure that I write to congratulate the NHS Torbay Hospital for the excellent care that I have received following surgery.

I would like you to thank a fantastic team of people that have helped me, firstly my Consultant Surgeon, who performed a challenging operation on my elbow in March this involved quite a long and complex operation to piece my elbow back together had it not been for the skill and expertise of a fantastic surgeon my recovery outcome would have been very different in addition the care that I have continued to receive from them has been amazing going far and beyond my expectations of kindness care and professionalism, they are a very talented surgeon a credit to Torbay Hospital and the NHS and deserves to be congratulated.

Also the Team in fracture clinic have always kept appointments times as given and have operated in a very caring and kind manner. In particular two nurses cared for me by cleaning my external fixators each Thursday, the staff are always cheerful and made me feel at ease offering the best possible care.

The physiotherapy team were also most helpful in trying to organise on going treatment for me on leaving hospital despite the challenges of an un helpful Ivybridge health centre, Torbay Physiotherapists managed to sort the problem going the extra mile.

In addition the staff on Ainslee ward who looked after me for 2 stays this also includes the catering staff who were always happy to oblige in any way possible giving an extra cup of tea or being generally cheerful and happy around the ward or to having a brief conversation.

The nursing staff were very kind and nothing was to much trouble keeping me pain free when I was in the early days of my injury.

All of the staff and professionals that I have encountered at Torbay Hospital have gone that extra mile and been extremely kind.
