Following admission as an "emergency" (categorised by 111 staff) I waited almost 5 hours before seeing a doctor in what can only be descibed as a "war zone" with sick patients on trolleys in all corridors. After almost 16 hours I wasallocated a ward and advised of surgery the next day. I was rightly starved of food and water to be told about 16:00 hours that surgery had been deferred until the following day. The necessary procedure was belatedly undertaken but despoite my requests to convalesce at home this was deemed inappropriate by two different consutants so imagine my surprise when a third consultant inferred that I was malingering and the only words he seemed able to utter were "I'll see you in clinic in six weeks". He refused to answer any other reasonably placed questions. After some 5 weeks an appointment letter was received to be seen in clinic in 6 weeks time (11 weeks after discharge). I have experienced adverse symptoms but clearly the staff are unconcerned to the needs of the patient and the last consultant that I had the misfortune of meeting most certainly had no intention of answering 3 simple questions. My recommendation is that if possible avoid this hospoital.
"Very poor in all respects"
