We have just had a fantastic experience having our second child at King's. From the surgical staff who carried out my wife's c-section to the midwives who looked after us immediately afterwards, to the staff and doctors of the special care unit, and the midwives and other staff who took care of us in the William Gillian postnatal ward, everybody was attentive, caring, warm and professional. I know that there were issues with bed bugs a couple of months ago but the situation seems to have been taken care of totally now and everything was spotless and well looked after when we were there (beginning of June 2019). Sometimes non-urgent requests can take a while to get sorted, as the staff are definitely overstretched, but when things matter and the health of the baby or mother are in question things move very quickly and with a sense of urgency. We're very grateful to everyone who took care of us and our baby so attentively and with such warmth and positivity throughout.
"Very positive experience of maternity care"
