My dealings with Bramshaw ward were awful! I woke up in recovery after my operation and the sister called Bramshaw ward to take me to the ward and they refused to send anyone down to collect me. The sister was clearly annoyed and said she had has the same issue all day long with that ward. I eventually get taken up onto the ward and I felt like I was a complete inconvenience to the staff. A poor lady in the bed opposite was being sick while I was eating my sandwich and the nurse was completely unconcerned and left the curtains open for all to see! I had to ask for her to pull my curtain round to give the poor lady opposite some privacy! Not a single nurse could smile at me the whole time I was in and even the cleaner blacked me when I thanked her for cleaning my table. I was discharged the morning after my operation and 2 days post op I woke up with a rash. I called the ward as I was told to do so I’ve I had any problems, the refused to see me and eventually after being palmed off I was eventually told to go to a totally different ward in the general hospital that hasn’t dealt with me!! Utterly disgusted at the attitude of staff and Bramshaw ward! The surgeon and his team I can’t thank enough and the pre operation support is fantastic but the aftercare let’s the hospital down.
"Complete lack of care!"
