"Excellent service and care"

I have just undergone day surgery yesterday. I feel I have to write this review because in life today unfortunately people tend to complain but not give praise. I can only say that from first appointment with consultant, pre-assessment nurse(s) and receptionist the service was first class. Then the day of my surgery I was given a warm, friendly greeting, taken to my cubicle and told which nurse(s) would be looking after me. From the first introduction to post surgery and discharge, the staff were very professional, friendly, informative and most of all very, very caring. The 2 nurses looking after myself were worth their weight in gold, they couldn’t do enough and unfortunately I needed several trips to the toilets after surgery and I never once felt I was a bother, although I did apologise every time but was told there was no need. I am a trained nurse myself, have worked, visited and been a patient in other hospitals.

I know some people reading this review will say it’s too good to be true, but I believe you should speak as you find, good or bad. I will just finish off with “ Hexham general hospital give yourself a pat on the back” my experience was as good as it could get, many, many thanks
