I gave birth here to my second child this week and the care we received was outstanding. From ringing the unit, to then having my child and leaving, the staff couldn't do enough to help me. During my short stay I visited the Birthing Unit, Delivery Suite and then Maternity Ward - all were clean, comfortable and had all the facilities needed. Every single member of staff I spoke to were knowledgeable and friendly. Whilst delivering my son, the midwives were reassuring and informed me of everything that was happening. They gave advice but ultimately everything was my choice. There were all the relevant checks needed to both my son and myself before leaving, so I felt like we were ok to go. The facilities were brilliant and everything that was needed. The food was also good, with a variety of choice. I was made comfortable and given all the drinks needed. I cannot thank them enough for making my son's birth such a positive experience.
