I arrived this morning for a procedure at the day centre and I was extremely nervous. I had been fast tracked through and it all felt very daunting and quick (even though it was incredibly efficient!)

The staff that I met today Helen Staff Nurse, Shelly HCA, Anaesthetist Dr Smirthwaite and Consultant Mr Burgess could not have done more to reassure me. Helen, Shelly and Dr Smirthwaite turned me from someone who was tearful and anxious to someone that had full faith that I would be cared for and looked after through the process.

The staff on the bay that were not allocated to me were equally attentive and I think they all do a fantastic job. I am extremely pleased with the care (and it was care!) that I received today so thank you so much for making a difference to me, my day and my experience.  You took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me just by hearing me. The anaesthetic was the best experience I’ve ever had with it! First time I’ve ever woken not feeling panicky or sick! Didn’t feel agitated like usual! You really must have worked magic.

Thank you all again! I’m truly grateful
