"Nervous Breakdown"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as the patient),

I had a panic attack at work back in November last year..

I had an ecg on my heart and then a couple of days later was told I was having a nervous breakdown. I was put on citalopram 10mg.

For the next 7 months my journey was hell headaches and pain all over my body.

My medication was upped from 10 to 20 to 30 to maximum 40 mg over the next few months,

I lost some friends and stayed indoors in my safe place, being near crowds like food shopping was very difficult for me.

I had time to change therapy and then had CBT therapy then had 1 to 1 therapy

I am now working part time back at work I am still tired and on the medication but I feel better than I did.

I also went to occupational health through the company for a second opinion.

Without the help of inclusion Thurrock I don't think I would be here today.

Dear Ropernf

Thank you for taking the time and sharing your experience with us.

Your journey through treatment wasn't easy but you demonstrate how, by doing one thing after another, you reach your goals and reconnect with your life.

You also show that sometimes its too easy to expect a quick solution but whats needed is some time to help repair and " rebalance " our minds and bodies - its all about healing.

I think we also learn to be kinder to ourselves and more compassionate.

Thank you once again for sharing with us and from the whole team at Inclusion Thurrock, well done and good luck with your journey.

Many thanks

Paul
