I’d like to leave a raving review to the staff on the Sanderson Suite. I went in yesterday (13/6/19) for my gallbladder to be removed and I was very impressed with how well I was looked after. Everyone was very warm and welcoming and kept me calm and comfortable. Everything ran smoothly and there was no waiting around. All staff kept me informed with all the details and were very happy to answer any questions. My surgeon and anaesthetists came to speak to me and explained everything to me. I was worried about being put to sleep as I’d never done that before but they understood and reassured me how everything works. Before giving me the anaesthetic the ladies looking after me kept the atmosphere calm and relaxed which made me calm and relaxed. All I remember is talking about my 3month old little boy and then waking up on the ward. The care I got post op was amazing. The nurse and health care assistants were constantly checking on me, bringing me cups of tea and toast (even gluten free). Nothing was too much to ask for. Before leaving the hospital the nurse made sure I was aware of post op care and how to take my pain killers. I felt well looked after and would be happy to return for any treatment needed. Thank you!
