I'm a diver, dive for hobby not commercial. I had an incident with my rebreather. I was taken to the ward 107, the staff could not do enough for me, they went way above and beyond.
I arrived at the hospital with only my dive gear, my wallet, phone, glasses and shoes were about 180 miles away, we all laughed at the problem as they'd never came across this before.
We sat down when I was fit to go home to sort out the logistics how to get back to my car. They sorted out my travel which was two train tickets, one to Edinburgh then the other to Berwick Upon Tweed, they also gave me money for the taxi, one from Aberdeen hospital to train station the other from Berwick to Eyemouth.
The ward sister Amelia, went to Tesco's to buy me some trainers as I had no shoes.
As far as I'm concerned this ward needs an award for going way above what the job entails.
